Life is a Journey It has taken me 65 years to figure it out, but I think I have it now.  I was partially right a few years ago, but I have a clearer vision now.  Life is a journey for each soul; not an end destination.  You may think each step is an end, but, no matter how comfortable and safe you are, you are still on your journey.  A parent cannot take the journey for their offspring; each one is responsible for his own trip.

Other intrinsic things have lasted over the years.  Love, honor, loyalty, friendship, good manners, good times; they are sometimes harder to come by, but more treasured once they are found.
