Tropical Dusk by Karen Meyer
I see the pale amber light
Of the first moments of night.
While the palms flutter slowly
In the soft tropical breeze.
Somewhere strains of music
Remind me of the first time
She slowly passed by
Overwhelming me with her fragrance.
Her profile against the screen
Quickens my heart
To know I will be with her soon,
Soon and possibly forever.
I see the pale amber light
Of the first moments of night.
While the palms flutter slowly
In the soft tropical breeze.
Somewhere strains of music
Remind me of the first time
She slowly passed by
Overwhelming me with her fragrance.
Her profile against the screen
Quickens my heart
To know I will be with her soon,
Soon and possibly forever.
